How Pace projections work

Every number on Pace is our own model's projection — not an official stat.

• Recency-weighted — recent games count more than early-season ones.
• Regressed to talent — pulled toward each player's established level so small samples don't overreact.
• Availability-adjusted — scaled by expected games played, with an injury haircut.

How to Play — Pace

You get two players and their projected season totals for a stat. Call whether the second player's projection is higher or lower than the first.

• Get it right and the challenger becomes your next anchor — keep the streak going.
• One wrong call ends the run.
• Switch the stat — points, rebounds, assists, 3-pointers — anytime; it starts a fresh run.
• Matchups are paired to be close calls, not blowouts — trust what you know.
